Dear Parent / Guardian,
This year the Summer Concerts will take place on Tuesday 1 July and Wednesday 2 July. They will begin at 6:00pm and we will aim to finish between 8:00pm to 8:30pm. We will gratefully receive donations at the door at a suggested £2 per person; tickets will not be sold in advance.
This year the concerts will be full of fantastic performances from our orchestras, singers (from the Performing Arts celebration in June) and a wide variety of smaller ensembles; it is set to be a memorable evening.
I would like to remind all performers of the Crofton School concert uniform. The code of dress for anyone performing in the Summer Concerts is a smart, plain black outfit with plain black shoes. Boys should wear a plain tie of a single colour (student choice). Girls should wear smart trousers, a skirt or a sleeved dress that reaches below the knee when in a seated position. If possible, please try to avoid striped clothing and casual looking clothing such as flared trousers for example. Students performing their songs from the Performing Arts evening should aim to wear the same uniform as for the Performing Arts celebration: black bottoms with a black, gold or silver top or dress. Please contact me if you have any difficulties or questions via joliver@croftonschool.org.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Yours faithfully,
Mr Oliver (Head of Music)
